The Senior Dance Performance Team and junior team member, Year 9 student Sienna J recently returned from a very rewarding trip to Adelaide for the Dance Star National Championships. This 5 day event saw the best of the best from schools across QLD, NSW, VIC and SA come together to compete for the title of National Champion in their respective sections. To qualify for this event was a huge achievement, making it through two rounds of competitions to get there, a regional qualifier in April, followed by the QLD State Finals in June.

The team’s results were beyond incredible, representing our State and School with pride and bringing home 14 medals in total! An exceptional achievement for any school, particularly Shalom in its first year in the competition. It was a wonderful experience, performing amongst the best of the best at a fantastic venue - the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and spending time together, seeing the sights of Adelaide. A rewarding experience that won’t be forgotten any time soon.
