On our first day back for 2024, we had the privilege of Bec Domaile, a Traditional Owner of the Taribelang Bunda people, conduct a smoking ceremony during assembly.

This meaningful tradition involves the use of wet native plants to create smoke, purifying and cleansing the space.

As students and teachers entered the hangar, they walked through the smoke, symbolising the beginning of a new journey and bringing positive energy to our school community.

This ceremony was a gift from Elders and Traditional Owners and serves as a special way to honor the land and our ancestors, while setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
