Bundaberg and Wide Bay Trials – Tennis Success

Once again, Shalom players performed extremely well at the recent Bundaberg trials, with three players gaining selection in the Bundaberg tennis team. Of the eight players who made the Bundaberg team, three were from Shalom - Lachlan C, Lachlan R and Lara B. Congratulations to these students!

These three players travelled to Kingaroy on the 14 February to participate in the Wide Bay trials. Congratulations go to Lachlan C who played some outstanding tennis to finish as the number 1 player in the Wide Bay Boys Team. Lachlan R and Lara B were on the verge of qualifying with both falling agonisingly short. Each of these students are talented tennis players who should be proud of their efforts.

Lachlan C will now lead the Wide Bay team at the State Titles from 4-7 March played at the University of Queensland. With Lachlan as talented as the top players in the State, he has the potential to perform very well and gain selection in the Queensland team. Good luck Lachie!
