Congratulations to Shalom students Toby L, Oliver B, River F and Nick D on representing Wide Bay at the recent 16-19 years Boys Cricket State Carnival. Wide Bay finished 9th but had some very close games, losing three games in the last over of the match against the three Brisbane Metro teams.
A special congratulations to Toby L, who gained QLD team selection. Toby will wear the baggy maroon and compete against NSW in Mackay this August.
Well done boys and all the best Toby.

Shalom Tennis Update - 10-12 year Bundaberg Trials
On Friday 15 March, Shalom had several students trial for the 10-12 year Bundaberg Schools Tennis Team at Rotary Park Tennis Centre in Bundaberg. It was brilliant to see the number of students participate on the day including Tokoko W, Bryana C, Gabriel K, Amelia W, Indiannah D and Jai P – a fantastic turnout.
Once again, Shalom players performed extremely well with three players gaining selection in the Bundaberg tennis team. Congratulations go to Jai P, Amelia W and Indiannah D who all displayed their skills to make the team. These players are all highly capable and we are fortunate to have such talent at Shalom.
In addition, Gariel K is reserve for the Boys Team – well done Gabe. It is testament to the depth of tennis we have at our school with Bryana C and Tokoko W, both good tennis players in their own right.
Jai, Amelia and Indi will now travel to Hervey Bay on Friday 3 May to participate in the Wide Bay trials. Good luck to these players!!
