A HUGE THANK YOU to those that attended Shalom’s Annual Empowering Women Event last Monday night.

With Olympic Swimming Gold Medallist Libby Trickett as our special guest speaker, a great night was had by all.

Thank you to our event sponsors, Bundaberg Swimming Academy, Hinkler Podiatry, McGrath Wide Bay, Rum City Foods, and The Waves Sports Club. Plus, a generous donation from the Shalom P&F. Without the support of these businesses and association this event would not be possible.

Over $11,000 was raised from the evening, which will be distributed amongst Shalom's female Basketball, Netball, OzTag, Rugby League and Touch Football teams.

A special thank you to Libby for being so generous with her time and being an inspiration to all our guests.

A big thank you is also extended to Scott Lamond for interviewing Libby, our bar staff, student and staff helpers, Shalom musicians and Mr Algie in the Tuckshop for catering the event.
