On Wednesday 22 May, Shalom College students competed in the annual CQUniversity Business Challenge.

Students were hosted by the university at the Bundaberg campus and this year we had three teams of four students representing Shalom. All students are studying one or more of our senior subjects - Business, Legal Studies and/or Accounting – and were accompanied by their Business Department teachers, Mrs Revelo, Mr McMah and Mrs Ingle.

The challenge was run across five CQU campuses with 43 teams from 25 Queensland high schools. Teams competed simultaneously in the discipline area quizzes which were focused on content from the QCAA senior syllabuses and general knowledge.

This year our Team 1 were runners-up for the Bundaberg and Wide Bay region with Teams 2 and 3 also being competitive. The change of format for 2024 means we do not progress to the final, but we are already looking forward to competing again in 2025.
