Congratulations to year 12 student Charlie D who was nominated for the Peter Doherty award, by teacher Ms Debbie Bishop, which he was successful in achieving. Charlie has written a short statement of what winning the award means to him.

Attending the Peter Doherty award ceremony on Tuesday afternoon was a great experience as I met other like-minded students, alongside the Education Minister and Director General of Education. It was an incredible honour to receive this prestigious award. I plan to use the money on accommodation costs at university next year, studying Machine Learning. Thanks to Mrs. Bishop for handling my application, and Mr. Ray for the last minute school blazer borrow.
