Shalom Football (Soccer)
Congratulations to Blake and Georgia for winning the 2024 Bill Turner Spirit Awards for their respective teams. A terrific effort!
Plus, thanks to Regalline Cabinets and Joinery for their valued sponsorship and support of Shalom Football in 2024.
The Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy are school football competitions. Around 850 school teams from NSW, QLD, ACT and Victoria participate each year, with all players 15 years and under. The competition is a knockout format with early round matches starting in Term 1 each year. Bill Turner valued fitness, fun and fairplay and the competition pays tribute to these values.
Recently, our Bill Turner Girls and Year 8/9 Bill Turner Boys teams competed in games against Emmaus College from Rockhampton. Both teams played with great spirt and represented Shalom greatly.
The girls played some tremendous soccer and had a 10-0 victory. The boys, after a slow start, staged an excellent battle to eventually lose 4-3.
Well done to both sides!
Shalom Rugby League
Congratulations to our 2024 Rugby League First XIII Captain, Joseph! Following an outstanding year both on and off the field, Joseph has signed with the North Queensland Cowboys. Joseph will be in Townsville to kick off pre-season training with the Cowboys Young Guns.

Shalom College extends its best wishes to Parkka P-D, Riley M & Nick D as they travel to Sydney to join the Parramatta Eels Pathway Squads for the pre-season. With one of the top junior pathway systems in the country, Parramatta offers an invaluable experience that will undoubtedly benefit the boys during their time with the club.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Parramatta Eels Pathways and Recruitment team for creating this incredible pathway and opportunity for our students/athletes.
