Pathways

We extend a very warm welcome to new and returning students for the 2023 school year.

We are thrilled to announce that the PATHWAYS TEAM IS EXPANDING we welcome Mrs Kim Toll, Mrs Monique McLucas and Ms Jacinta Cook to the team!

  • Liza O'Donnell continues as Pathways Coordinator. Liza can advise students in regards to University, TAFE, Apprenticeships / Traineeships and Career opportunities.
  • Kim Toll will organise Events and Social Media related to University Studies, TAFE, Apprenticeships / Traineeships and Careers.
  • Monique McLucas can assist students in organising Work Experience to explore their desired career path along with general pathways enquiries.
  • Jacinta Cook has joined the team as Study Supervisor and will be motivating students to achieve their study goals.

Our door is always open. We are located in Goondeel and look forward to guiding students in their exciting career/future University pathways.

Start Uni Now (SUN) is a CQUniversity initiative that gives you the opportunity to study university-level units while in Years 10*, 11 and 12 at high school. More information please click HERE. In 2023, UniSQ is introducing an innovative and new Academic Calendar that allows students to better manage their study load and structure their own degree progression to balance work, extra-curricular, and university commitments.

2023 Girl Power WebEx Session

Girls in year 10, 11 & 12 come and Find out about a career in the energy industry!

The Girl Power Program Is designed for girls currently completing Grade 10 to 12 and would include:

  • Attendance at a WebEx Information session
  • Information on the trades/apprenticeships that Ergon Energy Network/Energex offer
  • Opportunity to hear from our Female Apprentices and Tradespeople
  • Overview of our recruitment process
  • Opportunity to complete relevant testing and Work Experience in Term 2 if interested in progressing with the 2024 Apprentice Recruitment (This would be open to Year 12 girls)
