Mission
Reflection Days
Last week we welcomed guest speakers for the Year 8 and Year 10 Reflection Days. The purpose of these days is to help students navigate the pressures of growing up in a tech-obsessed society, including highlighting the importance of nurturing authentic and respectful connections with others. The messages of the day empowered students to respond to these challenges through a lens of human dignity.
Ordinary Time
Following the celebration of Pentecost over the weekend, the Catholic Church now moves into the season of ‘Ordinary Time’. Highlighted by the colour green, this season is about the hope and growth that develops after celebrating the 50 days of Easter. Ordinary time is the longest season in the church year although it is broken into two parts to account for the others seasons: Lent, Easter, Advent and Christmas.
Masses
Each Religious Education class will also cohost a Wednesday morning Mass at 8am in our chapel. This Mass occurs during term time and is a Parish Mass, so it is open to all. The Mass finishes before the 8.40am bell. Religious Education teachers will email a notice to families prior to their allocated Mass, and we encourage attendance. Upcoming Masses will be hosted by our Year 10 students.
