Quiet Achiever
Michael is a valued member of Lingiari House and has been for many years. He is always a fantastic help with all the “normal” things senior students do, like being a Buddy for a Year 7 (he did this last year for Isaac F) and helping with day-to-day things in PC and the like. Michael also quietly volunteers to help with everything that is happening in the House, whether it directly impacts him or not. His efforts at co-ordinating our senior bombardment team this year have been great. The current Year 12 cohort in Lingiari are an excellent group and Michael exemplifies their quiet commitment to making our House the best it can be.
In amongst Michael’s commitment to his own studies and whatever is happening in Lingiari, he is also heavily involved in the Shalom music program. His commitments to music sees him attending rehearsals during lunchtimes and “before school” sessions.
Michael is a wonderful role model for our younger students, and this is perhaps the most important impact he has. Vincent Lingiari quietly inspired the Gurindji people to be involved and work together, and Michael certainly does this through his interactions and presence in our House.
