Quiet Achiever
It’s easy to recognise the loudest voices or the most visible leaders, but sometimes the most inspiring individuals are those who lead quietly. By example, humility, and genuine care for others. Jared is a Year 11 Hogan student who does just that.
Always friendly, kind, and willing to lend a hand, Jared embodies the true spirit of service within our Catholic community. Whether it’s assisting his peers, stepping up when help is needed, or contributing to school life in countless ways, Jared does so without seeking recognition—he simply does.
Despite managing a demanding academic load that includes Math Methods, Literature, Biology and Chemistry, Jared consistently maintains a high GPA. Beyond the classroom, he excels in his musical pursuits as a valued member of the Symphony Orchestra and Senior Concert Band, and has showcased his talent through events such as the Bundaberg Music Eisteddfod, A Chorus Line musical production and the ANZAC Day Liturgy.
Jared’s commitment to the Shalom community extends further through his involvement in all things Hogan House, the Shalom Science Fair as well as being a UQ Science Ambassador. He also recently participated in the WBHHS Nursing & Midwifery One Day Immersion Program—demonstrating his enthusiasm for learning and service beyond the school gates.
Jared is a young man with a bright and promising future. We look forward to seeing the quiet strength and leadership he will continue to bring as a Senior Leader of Hogan House and Shalom College in 2026.
