CQU Bundaberg Donation Request
Donations Wanted
Our friends at CQU Bundaberg have asked us to share this with the Shalom community.
CQU Interfaith and Cultural Diversity Society and the Turkish Muslim Community are inviting all schools, faith groups and organisations in Bundaberg to help collect blankets, sleeping bags, jumpers, tracksuits, and nappies for the hundreds of thousands of displaced people of Turkey and Syria. The company in Turkey that plays a similar role to the Australian SES suggests that for health reasons, clothing and bedding items be new, not used.
There are two collection sites:
- The CQU admin office, which is found in block 1 of the Bundaberg CQU Campus on University Drive
- The Muslim Mosque located at 76A Hanbury St, Bundaberg North
We envisage the collection to last 3 weeks with the tentative close date on Tuesday 7 March at 5.00pm.
Every contribution will be a big help, especially for the children in Turkey and Syria many of whom have nothing but the clothes they’re wearing.
