Interim Reports Published

Interim Report Cards were published last Friday 21 April and are available for parents through Sia - Parent Lounge – Academic Reports. More specific information about individual assessment items may be viewed through Sia – My Students.

Students can access their reports via Sia – Services & Support – Applications – Student Café.

Year 7/8 Core Studies Learner Conferences (Parent-Teacher Interviews) - Friday 28 April 2023

Year 7/8 Core Studies Learner Conferences will be conducted in the Waterford Centre from 8:30am to 3:00pm on Friday 28 April 2023 (Student Free Day for Year 7/8 students only). Interviews will be of ten minutes duration. On this day, the rooms the interviews will take place are below.

Additionally, parents will have an opportunity to book an appointment with those teachers who have three Year 7/8 Core Studies classes on Wednesday 3 May from 8.30am-11.30am in Loyola. These teachers are: Sarah Murray, Gillian Deacon, Michelle Pacey, Craig Sologinkin, Michael Harris, Kirsty McCulloch, Karen Lyons, Lauren Shackley and Sam Whitelaw.

Learner Conferences will open for parent bookings through Sia --> Parent Lounge --> PT Interviews at 8:00am on Monday 17 April and close at 3:00pm on Tuesday 25 April.

Please review the wealth of information about your child’s progress available on Sia before attending these interviews. Your child is encouraged to attend the interview with you.

A parent’s role in the education of their child is vital. Student outcomes will be maximised when parents and teachers are both involved in their child’s education and have positive interactions. Sia is a fantastic way for parents to be fully informed about student progress, assessment due dates, news items, upcoming events, assessment results etc.

Sia, and the Shalom phone app, have been available to parents since the beginning of 2022. Currently, our parent login rate is slightly lower than the end of last year. We would like all our parents to be successfully logged into Sia as soon as possible. Attached in the link below is a Parent “Everything You Need To Know About Sia’ Guide which includes how to log in for the first time. The phone app is super-convenient – a must-have for parents!

Our IT team will have sent the login details for Sia to all new parents to the school at the beginning of the year. Register your interest: Year 12 Exam Invigilators

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) welcomes early registrations of interest from community members who would like to work as invigilators at Year 12 exams being held in schools throughout Queensland in October and November. These are paid positions. Invigilators must be over 18 years old, eligible to work in Australia and hold a current paid blue card, or exemption card, or a Queensland College of Teachers registration.

Register your interest now and get notified when applications open in early June. By organising your documentation early, you'll be ready to apply straight away. Visit the QCAA website to find out more and register your interest.
