In Week 9 of Term one, the Damien House Senior leaders ran a Snow Cone stall to raise awareness and funds for our House charity “Share the Dignity”. 262 snow cones were sold resulting in us running out of ice. We then sold 80 zooper doopers resulting in us making $337.25 net profit. Great job.

Well done Julia B who coordinated the event and our senior team who all chipped in to set up, promote, sell products and clean up afterwards - Jalah B, Teagan L, Caeley B, Jessica K, Austin R, Mimi O, Larrissa T and Fletcher C!

Also, a big thank you to some extra Damien volunteers – Hunter L, Caleb R and Leon B who all chipped in. There were plenty more Damien students who came along to help but we had so many volunteers they weren’t needed.

Share the Dignity was established to support girls and women who need essential sanitary products, but because of their circumstance are unable to access these necessities. After purchasing a snow cone, students were able to select where they would prefer to have their donation spent to support the charity. This included purchasing tampons and pads for women and girls, toothpaste and brushes, maternity products, soaps, and shampoos.
