Shalom College Equestrian Fraser Coast Interschool 2023
Congratulations to the Shalom College Equestrian Team who competed at the Fraser Coast Interschool Equestrian Competition in Maryborough from Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24 August. This event is open to school-aged riders and draws students from around the State. Our team this year included Isobel C, Tahlia C, Mahli P, Caitlin C, Madi W and Meghan F. All of these students were wonderful competitors, and supporters of each other and riders from other schools.
Our team members competed in hacking, dressage, sporting, western and showjumping events over the three days with many placings. We would like to send out a huge thank you to the wonderful parents and caregivers who took the students, their horses and, for many, their camping equipment to the event. It is a big effort for all of them to plan for and attend these events. Well done to everyone involved.

Broncos NRLW Development
Congratulations Taylor D. Taylor spent the last couple of days at the Brisbane Broncos, with NRLW Broncos Head Coach Scott Prince, coaching staff and the team.
She got to spend some time with the coaches and players, tour of the grounds and facilities as well as watch how they train and prepare for game day.
The team played on Sunday at Total Workwear stadium in Brisbane against the Canberra Raiders winning 40-8.
She took some valuable insights away on what the next steps would be, both on and off the field, as she prepares for life after school and her dream to become a professional athlete.
