Men's Breakfast - This Thursday
Tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/CJXJY
After the success of our recent ‘Empowering Women – Breakfast’, Shalom College, in partnership with Brave Brothers, will be holding a Men’s Wellness Breakfast on Thursday 31 August in the lead up to Father’s Day.
The breakfast will feature a one-on-one interview with Darius Boyd, (Former NRL player for Brisbane Broncos, Newcastle Knights, St George Illawarra Dragons, Queensland Maroons and Australia) and interviewer Scott Lamond (Chief of Staff at ABC Wide Bay and a director of Brave Brothers.)
Following a brilliant sporting career Darius Boyd has become a vocal ambassador for mental health issues and an advocate of support for men's health, using his platform to educate, inspire and raise awareness around the topic.
Held at The Waves Sports Club Sails Function Room, the breakfast will also include a fundraising raffle, with a list of prizes and ticket sales available on the day. All money raised from the event will go to Brave Brothers. Brave Brothers is a local organisation that aims to provide direct support for men’s mental health, and prostate or testicular cancer sufferers and their families.
